General Chair of 5G-ACIA Head of Communication and Network Technology, Bosch Corporate Research speaks on June 9th, 2021 at 9:00 a.m about Industrial 5G: From Theory to PracticeBiography Dr. Andreas Mueller is the Head of Communication and Network Technology in the Corporate Research Department of Robert Bosch GmbH in Stuttgart, Germany and at the same time the Bosch Chief Expert for Communication Technology for the IoT. In addition to that, he is coordinating the Industrial 5G activities of Bosch across the different business units. He also serves as General Chair of the “5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation” (5G-ACIA), which has been established for driving, shaping and promoting Industrial 5G worldwide. This is done by providing a global forum for discussing related technical, regulatory and business aspects and by bringing all relevant stakeholders together. Prior to joining Bosch, Andreas was a Research Staff Member at the Institute of Telecommunications of the University of Stuttgart, Germany, where he was contributing to the further development of the 3GPP Long Term Evolution towards LTE-Advanced. Besides, he was working as a Systems Engineer for Rohde & Schwarz, developing a novel software-defined radio based communication system for the German Armed Forces. Andreas holds a German Diploma degree as well as a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering (with distinction) and an M.Sc. degree in Information Technology, all from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. |

Director of the TTTech Labs speaks on June 10th at 9 a.m. about The TSN Configuration ChallengeBiography Wilfried Steiner is the Director of the TTTech Labs which acts as center for strategic research as well as the center for IPR management within the TTTech Group. Wilfried Steiner holds a degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences and the Venia Docendi in Computer Science, both from the Vienna University of Technology, Austria. From 2009 to 2012 Wilfried Steiner has been awarded a Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowship that has been hosted by SRI International in Menlo Park, CA. His research is focused on dependable cyber-physical systems, in particular in the following domains: automotive, space, aerospace, as well as new energy and industrial automation. Wilfried Steiner designs algorithms and network protocols with real-time, dependability, and security requirements. Wilfried Steiner has been the editor of the SAE AS6802 standard (Time-Triggered Ethernet), served multiple years as voting member in the IEEE 802.1 that standardizes time-sensitive networking (TSN), and is currently member in the ISO TC 22 that develops standards for safe autonomous road vehicles |
